The unparalleled legal representation offered by our attorneys and more than 20 staff members has earned our firm recognition as one of the top law firms in the country by U.S. News & World Report and Best Lawyers. Our bankruptcy practice has been recognized specifically in the national survey of legal clients, lawyers and other legal professionals. At Purcell, Krug & Haller, we are committed to providing each client — no matter how large or small — high-quality representation in all legal matters. We guide you from A to Z with flexibility, creativity and responsiveness.
With over 60 years of experience serving clients throughout Pennsylvania with offices in Harrisburg and Hershey, we are proud of our history and the full range of enduring services that we provide to clients in family law, bankruptcy, personal injury, real estate, estate planning and probate, and creditors representation.
Founded in 1953 by John W. “Jack” Purcell Sr. joined with Herbert O. Shaeffer, our firm took its current form in 1982 when partner Joseph Nissley died, following the previous additions of Howard B. Krug and Leon P. Haller. Jack died in 2009 at the age of 84 after guiding the firm as an of-counsel attorney for several years. He was a World War II veteran who served in England and Germany and a graduate of Scranton University and Boston College Law School. We carry on his legacy, which not only included great legal and business acumen, but also the accomplishments of a golfer and tennis player of local repute.
